Context
Went back and got the steak with Bill in late April '22. Was good. Service great. Place great. We sat with a water view.
Out on a Friday evening for dinner, solo. Starving. Lovely sunset. Planning on hosting parents for dinner Saturday, serving the Bob Porter diet food.
Was really dehydrated, it turns out.
Lovely evening. Not too cold but a little cool.
Random thoughts
Starting is easy, finishing is hard. Or is it simply true that starting is hard and finishing is hard and life just sucks? 😁
Camera gear and blogging
Ugh. Not sure I like my new mirrorless DSLR camera all that much. Too fancy, perhaps? Hard to get at files? Impractical? Too indiscrete?

Smells great in here. Sat by a steamy mulled wine vat.

Great. Fresh, not greasy, crispy.

Pan Roasted Chicken
Was told it takes 20 minutes, so I filled the time with calamari.
Easy 5.
Delicious. Caramelized, juicy. Unexpected truffle flavor.
Perfection, really. Every bite was a delicious experience.
Portion
Very nice.
Overarching flavor is truffle. Maybe too much.

Did wake up at 1:26 am and couldn't get back to sleep. Stomach didn't feel great. I assume it's the booze.
Nell Thorn is a great place in La Conner. I've now been there just two times but I've had a nice lunch there and I was very impressed with their dinner service at the bar. Delicious food. And good service. And I enjoyed the clientele as well.
